April Apparatus Contest!

Have you developed a cool piece of lab equipment that you think is a winner? Share it with the Modeling community and perhaps you will carry off this month’s $50 Amazon or Vernier gift certificate.

Your entry may include one or two photographs and a description of up to 500 words. Be sure to include how/when you use this in your class and the basics of what it’s made of and how you assemble it. We may ask you for a more detailed description of the parts and supplies needed and directions describing how to build your apparatus for permanent inclusion on our website, but not till after the contest is over.

Below are the current contest entries. Some entries include one photo and others have two photos. Click on any one of the the thumbnails to see a full screen slide show of all the entries and a description for each apparatus. You can rate each by clicking on the stars beneath the pictures. For entries with more than one photo, only one picture has rating stars beneath it. You may vote once per picture–as each new pictures appears on this page you can vote on it, so return to this page periodically to see whether new entries have been posted.

The entry deadline is April 30, 2013, midnight PDT. The top three rated entries on the website will be entered into a runoff poll to determine the prize winner. Show us your stuff! Enter today!
