(Jane’s Famous) Modeling Listserv Compilations

If you have been a member of the Modeling Community for any length of time, you will have seen or heard reference to the extensive library of compilations of Listserv posts that Jane Jackson and Suzi Shoemaker have been creating for, lo, these many years. They contain the collective wisdom of Modelers who have shared their thoughts and experiences with others on the Listserv for over a decade.

Eventually this site will host the whole library of compilations (and we have plans to make them searchable), but for now, while we’re still getting our website content loaded, I will add a few every week. Here is a first installment of seven important ones. (Note: when you click on one of the links below it will download the document to your computer.)

Check back here often to see what’s been added.

  1. Lee,

The link “Allocating class time to various activities” seems to be broken.

Sorry. Your novice webmaster inserted incorrect links–they are all fixed now so that if you click on a compilation it will download to your computer.

  2. Robert Breum says:

AP Physics without a textbook is likewise broken.

  3. Leonard Freidhof says:

I am wondering if I can search the ListServ compilations to find examples of rubrics used by modelers to assess whiteboards and whiteboard presentations.

  4. Dean Meggison says:

I am trying to find a copy of the “mechanics manual” that Larry and others are working to update for the 2013 season. Where is this stored?

  5. Colleen Megowan-Romanowicz says:

On the black menu bar above, under “Teachers” in the drop down menu choose instructional resources. (You have to be logged in to get to it). You will see links to the Mechanics and beyond Mechanics curriculum in its current incarnation.
