AMTA and Pivot Interactives Partnering for Summer 2020

As you know, 2020 has been the year of non-traditional instruction.  Although virtual teaching and learning was thrust upon teachers with little time to prepare, it could continue into the future.  For this reason we need to learn new tech tools to help us teach science in a more engaging, interactive way!

In the upcoming summer professional development courses hosted by AMTA (and others), we are encouraging leaders to introduce Pivot Interactives (PI) as a tool to enhance the virtual learning experience and the idea that you can have ‘active learning, with any subject, at any time’.  Pivot Interactives can help improve student learning and critical thinking skills through the use of interactive, authentic science investigations.

We hope that teachers will see the value of such a tool and invest the time to learn and implement PI into their classrooms in the Fall.
