Erica began her teaching career in 2000.  She has taught in both public and private school settings in central Indiana.  In 2010, she took her first Modeling Instruction Workshop and has been an active member of AMTA ever since.  She is a workshop facilitator, has led several webinars, and has published two articles with the Journal of Chemical Education on the topic of Modeling Instruction in Chemistry. 

Erica is also an active member of the American Chemical Society Division of Chemical Education and is an associate editor for the JCE’s ChemEd Xchange.  Erica serves on  the American Chemical Society Division of Chemical Education Exams Institute Board of Trustees.  In 2014 Erica was awarded the Excellence in High School Teaching Award from the American Chemical Society Central Region.  She also serves as a HACH mentor for several mentee teachers across the country.
