Melissa was introduced to Modeling Instruction as a high school student and credits this with fostering her love of science and teaching. She has been a part of the Computational Modeling in Physics First with Bootstrap project since 2017 and is always willing to talk about integrating computational thinking into Modeling Instruction. Melissa is a member of the STEMteachersPHX Steering Committee and a STEP UP Ambassador.
