Teresa has been teaching chemistry for 17 years in public high schools in the Boston area. Although she has taught a variety of sciences, including 9th grade physics, biology, biotechnology, engineering, organic and biochemistry, she is a chemistry teacher at heart. Teresa uses Modeling Instruction in both her college prep and honors chemistry courses. She is also working with teachers and administrators in her school to reorganize the Integrated Science curriculum around energy concepts with a modeling approach.

Teresa co-founded STEMteachersMassBay in 2017 to increase the number of annual workshops, offer follow-up sessions for workshop alumni, and establish a robust professional network for modelers in Massachusetts. She is thrilled to be attending AMTA’s Leadership Training during  summer 2018, in addition to hosting three local Modeling Instruction workshops.
